1. About LawBoard

LawBoard is a UK legal careers platform operated by LawBoard Ltd (company registration pending). Contact: hello@lawboard.co.uk.

LawBoard provides a searchable directory of SRA-regulated law firms, career tools for legal professionals, and a platform for candidates and firms to connect.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, browsing the site, or using any LawBoard service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

3. Candidate Accounts

3.1. You must provide accurate information when creating your profile. Misrepresenting your qualifications, experience, or identity is grounds for account removal.

3.2. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

3.3. You control your profile visibility. LawBoard will not share your personal details with any firm or recruiter without your explicit action (such as sending your profile) or your configured visibility settings.

3.4. Protected firms you designate will never be able to view, search for, or contact you through LawBoard.

3.5. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. Deletion removes your profile and all associated data permanently.

4. Firm Accounts

4.1. Firm profiles are initially generated from publicly available SRA register data. This data is provided under the SRA Data Sharing API terms and attributed accordingly.

4.2. To claim a firm profile, you must be authorised to represent that firm. All claims are manually reviewed and verified by LawBoard.

4.3. Claimed firm profiles on the free tier may view anonymised candidate interest and respond with structured options. Full candidate details, CVs, and contact information are available on paid subscription tiers only.

4.4. Firms must not use candidate data obtained through LawBoard for any purpose other than legitimate recruitment and talent management. Sharing candidate data with third parties without the candidate's consent is prohibited.

4.5. Subscription fees are as published on the pricing page. The setup fee may be waived at LawBoard's discretion during promotional periods. Subscriptions are billed monthly. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes.

5. Recruiter Accounts

5.1. Recruiter accounts are subject to a setup fee and monthly subscription as published on the pricing page.

5.2. Recruiters may only contact candidates who have explicitly opted in to recruiter contact through their privacy settings.

5.3. Recruiters must not misrepresent roles, firms, or terms to candidates.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not use LawBoard to send unsolicited commercial messages, harvest personal data, impersonate another person or entity, attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users, upload malicious content, or circumvent any security or access controls.

7. Intellectual Property

LawBoard's design, branding, and software are the property of LawBoard Ltd. Firm data sourced from the SRA is used under the SRA Data Sharing API terms and remains the property of the SRA. User-submitted content (profiles, CVs, messages) remains the property of the user.

8. Limitation of Liability

LawBoard is provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy of salary benchmarks, firm data, or candidate information. Salary estimates are indicative only and based on market data that may not reflect individual circumstances.

We are not liable for any hiring decisions, career decisions, or commercial outcomes arising from use of the platform. Our total liability to you is limited to the fees you have paid to LawBoard in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. SRA Data Attribution

Firm directory data is supplied by the Solicitors Regulation Authority under their Data Sharing API. LawBoard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the SRA. For the SRA's attribution statement, see: sra.org.uk/sra/how-we-work/privacy-data-information/data-sharing/attribution/

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
