About this role

Commercial property teams move quickly. Completions, deadlines, client calls, fee earner diaries, documents that need to be right first time. The people who hold those departments together are rarely the loudest voice in the room, but they are usually the reason things run smoothly.

RecQuest is looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join the commercial property team at a well-established Brighton firm. This is not an entry-level position. The team needs someone who understands the rhythm of a busy property department and can step in without a long run-up.

The role

  • Day-to-day administrative and secretarial support across an active commercial property caseload

  • File management, document preparation, correspondence and diary support for fee earners

  • Working closely with solicitors on a varied range of commercial property matters

  • Salary of £27,000 to £28,000 depending on experience

What the firm is looking for

  • Proven experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary, ideally within a property environment

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing composure

  • Someone who can pick up an established workload and contribute quickly

  • Based locally to Brighton

Why this is worth a conversation

Good commercial property support roles in Brighton do not come up constantly. This one offers a stable team, a firm with a genuine local reputation, and the kind of varied day-to-day work that keeps the role interesting. If you take pride in running things properly and want to do that within a commercial property environment that respects the support function, speak to us.
