Commercial/Conveyancing Legal Assistant - Romsey

RecQuest is partnering with an ambitious law firm seeking to expand its Residential Conveyancing and Commercial Property team. They are looking for a detail‑oriented Conveyancing & Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join them in Romsey. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong experience in property law who can provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth, efficient operations across both departments.

• Preparing correspondence and legal documents for residential and commercial property transactions, including contracts, leases, reports on title, and completion statements.

• Liaising with clients, estate agents, commercial agents, mortgage lenders, landlords, tenants, and other parties involved in the conveyancing and commercial process.

• Assisting with title checks, searches, and due diligence, ensuring compliance with Land Registry and relevant regulatory requirements

• Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally, providing timely updates and information to clients.

• Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems to support both residential and commercial workflows.

• Competitive salary range: £24,000 – £28,000

• Full‑time, permanent position

• Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

• Previous experience as a Legal Secretary, within Residential Conveyancing and/or Commercial Property.

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple matters and prioritise effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring seamless client and third‑party interactions.

• Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office applications.

• High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
