RecQuest are partnering with a forward‑thinking and ambitious law firm seeking to appoint a Senior Associate or Head of Residential Conveyancing to lead and grow their established team in either Sunningdale or Winchester. This is a standout opportunity for an experienced conveyancer ready to step into a leadership role, drive departmental development, and shape the future of the firm’s residential property offering.

Head of Conveyancing

• Leading the Residential Conveyancing department, providing supervision, guidance, and support to junior team members.

• Managing and developing an existing caseload of high‑quality residential property matters, including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgages.

• Overseeing complex transactions and ensuring the highest standards of compliance, client care, and risk management.

• Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, and all associated legal documentation.

• Conducting title reviews, property searches, and ensuring full compliance with Land Registry and SDLT requirements.

• Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders.

• Driving business development initiatives, strengthening existing relationships, and identifying opportunities to expand the department.

• Contributing to strategic planning, process improvement, and the overall growth of the firm’s property division.


What They Offer

• Competitive salary: £55,000 – £70,000 (with flexibility for senior-level experience)

• Full‑time, permanent position

• Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00

What We’re Looking For

• A Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with significant Residential Conveyancing experience (minimum 5+ years PQE, but senior-level expertise strongly preferred).

• Proven ability to manage a busy caseload independently while supporting and mentoring others.

• Strong leadership qualities and a proactive, strategic mindset.

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to exceptional client service.

• A commercially aware individual with a track record of developing client relationships and contributing to departmental growth.
