About this role

Gosport | £65,000 - £75,000 | In-Office

This is a genuinely exciting opportunity for an experienced Conveyancing Lawyer to join a growing, community-focused law firm on the South Coast, with a clear pathway to Head of Conveyancing.

Whether you are already operating at a senior level or feel ready to step up into leadership, this role offers the chance to take real ownership of your career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

It is also an excellent option for those considering a move to the coast, offering a strong local client base, a better quality of life, and the opportunity to build something meaningful within a close-knit team.

The Opportunity:

You will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion, delivering a high standard of client care throughout.

Beyond your own caseload, there is genuine scope to influence the direction of the department, support junior members of the team, and play a key role in the firm’s continued growth.

This is not a role where progression is theoretical. The firm is at a stage where the next hire will directly shape the future of the conveyancing function, with a clear route into a Head of Conveyancing position.

The Role:

  • Managing a full residential conveyancing caseload from start to finish

  • Working independently with the support of secretarial assistance

  • Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering a high level of service

  • Supporting business development and contributing to client acquisition

  • Playing a role in the development and growth of the conveyancing team

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience as a Solicitor, CPC Lawyer or CILEx Fellow

  • Confidence managing your own caseload independently

  • Strong communication and client care skills

  • A proactive and ambitious approach to your career

  • An interest in progressing into a leadership position

The Environment:

This is an in-office role, reflecting a collaborative and team-focused culture. The firm places real value on accessibility, open communication, and providing a high-quality service to clients through close teamwork.

You will be joining a business that values openness, professionalism, and community, where individuals are trusted, supported, and given the opportunity to progress.

Location and Lifestyle:

Based in Gosport, this opportunity is particularly well suited to someone already local or looking to relocate to the South Coast.

For those currently commuting or working in a larger, more corporate environment, this role offers the chance to achieve a better balance without compromising on progression or quality of work.
