This opportunity is different.

A leading South Coast law firm is looking to appoint a qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or experienced legal executive to work directly alongside the Partner who leads their residential property department in Portsmouth.

The intention is for this person to become the Partner’s number two within the team - someone trusted with quality work, involved in the day to day running of the department, and able to support the continued growth of a highly respected property practice.

The Role

You will handle a broad range of residential property matters including:

• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases

• Re-mortgages and transfers of equity

• New build transactions

• Supporting junior members of the team where needed

• Working closely with the Partner on more complex or high value matters

The department benefits from long standing relationships with local agents and repeat clients, providing a steady and high quality pipeline of work.

About You

This role would suit someone who:

• Is a qualified solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer

• Has strong residential conveyancing experience and manages their own files confidently

• Enjoys working closely within a team environment

• May be looking for a more senior role with influence and progression
